Health services to livestock farmer communities

Animal health management is crucial in ensuring optimal production in livestock husbandry. Diseases can be caused by several factors, including intensive breeding processes, unbalanced feeding patterns, and unsanitary conditions. The spread of infectious disease agents is facilitated by changing patterns of transportation in livestock distribution. Evaluating animal health in the field and providing on-site treatment can help farmers reduce disease problems. The community service activity described in this report aimed to contribute to controlling animal diseases in Boyolali. We performed deworming, vitamin treatments, anti-ectoparasite treatments, and pregnancy checks by rectal palpation on 50 beef cattle, goats, and sheep. Veterinarians administered injection treatments. The community service program effectively handled 50 ruminants without causing crowds of farmers. We achieved our targeted activities, and all animals were diagnosed and treated according to the protocols.
