Abdul Ghafar is a postdoctoral researcher in Veterinary Parasitology at the University of Melbourne, Australia. The primary focus of his research is on a triad of inter-related research domains: molecular spatio-temporal epidemiology of ticks and tick-borne pathogens, the implications of climate change on arthropod vector populations, and innovative approaches for tick (and pathogens) control through the utilisation of concept of anti-microbiota vaccines. He also enjoys teaching Veterinary Parasitology subjects (Arthropods, Cestodes and Protists) to post-graduate students enrolled at the Melbourne Veterinary School.

Dr. med. vet Tamara Muñoz-Caro is Associate Professor at Universidad Santo Tomás in Chile. Her research is focus on parasitic diseases affecting animals, zoonosis, host-pathogens innate immune interactions, epidemiology, and wildlife conservation.

Mujiyanto is currently affiliated with National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Indonesia as health geography researcher. His area of expertise is spatial epidemiology, with a focus on vector-borne diseases and zoonoses. For his research, Mujiyanto also make use of remote sensing, geographical information systems (GIS) , and climate data.

Dr. rer. nat. habil. Sonja Kleinertz is a former IPB and DAAD Long Term lecturer and Adj. Professor at IPB Bogor. Nowadays affiliated with Karang Divers Conservation Dive Center, Pemuteran Bali. Expertise comprises Marine Parasitology and Ecology, Marine Biology and Fisheries Ecology. Using marine parasites as biological indicators and assess zoonotic marine parasites.

Dr. Widi Nugroho is a lecturer at The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. His research interest is in topics of veterinary epidemiology, diagnostic development and disease control. He particularly looks into how knowledge on disease epidemiology could be translated into strategies that can be implemented in smallholder livestock farms in developing countries.
